By connecting a cell phone or tablet to your internet router via a network cable—known as an “Ethernet” cable—you can browse the web without any radiation from your cell phone or tablet. Many modern computers and cell phones require an adapter to connect via a network cable.
Plug the adapter into your phone and then connect the other end to a standard network port. The adapter and network cable (preferably a slim one) are sold separately. This way, you avoid exposure to harmful microwave radiation (from Wi-Fi, 4G, 5G, etc.) that would otherwise be emitted by the device when you’re browsing the web or using internet-based apps, etc. Don’t forget that you can also turn off Wi-Fi on your router when everything is connected via cable. Otherwise, you can purchase RTK’s router shield if you must keep Wi-Fi radiation on.

Background
Cell phones use radio waves to communicate with cell towers and, ultimately, with other users. These radio waves emit a type of electromagnetic radiation known as radiofrequency (RF) radiation. It’s not just phone calls that emit this radiation—all data usage and wireless connections do as well. Every time data is sent from or to the phone, it emits this RF radiation, sometimes called cell phone radiation. Independent studies are increasingly showing us that this cell phone radiation—or any EMF radiation, for that matter—is actually harmful to humans. This doesn’t mean you’ll experience problems immediately, or that you’ll notice the effects (unless you have a condition known as EHS). What we’re learning is that the biological damage from EMF radiation is cumulative. This means that small exposures that accumulate over the course of years can and likely will have negative health effects.
Please note that
Radiation-shielding cases for cell phones do not work. Wi-Fi always has the same output power, which is why a radiation shield placed over a Wi-Fi hub, router, modem, or baby monitor works. It’s not as easy with cell phones because their signal strength increases as reception from the cell tower outside deteriorates. For cell phones to maintain a working connection to a cell tower, a certain signal strength must be maintained. If the phone is far from a tower, the tower signals the phone to increase its transmission power. Aluminum shields the electromagnetic radiation emitted by a cell phone. Laboratory tests confirm this. However, if you put an aluminum case on your phone and make a call, the phone will increase its radiation output to compensate for the shielding provided by the aluminum case, ensuring it maintains a strong connection with the cell tower. As a result, there is no reduction in radiation—the phone actually increases its output—and, if you’re unlucky, you’ll expose your head to more radiation, plus the battery will drain faster. The phone also maintains contact with cell towers when you’re not talking on it, and it needs to increase the radiation strength then as well to compensate for the shielding.
